Bio
Grandma Mousey has been roaming around Austin, Texas since 2019. This cheeky indie rock band combines monster guitar riffs, a singing drummer, spacey synths, jazzy bass lines, and colorful harmonies to create a psychedelic rollercoaster of tunes that will turn your hair blue and fill your heart with liquid hot magma.
The band got its name from a children's game where students would close their eyes and try to guess who was saying, "Grandma Mousey" in a silly voice. Members met each other through open mics, Craig's List ads, playing in other projects, and mutual friends. Pulling from a wide variety of styles, including surf, art rock, psychedelia, funk, oldies, shoe gaze, country, punk, bossa nova, metal, and dance, the band shoots from the hip stylistically while always maintaining their identity.
